Face Thread Lift
Face Thread Lift Procedures
When you look at old photos of you, you know you look younger but you can’t put your finger on how or why. As you age, your skin loosens due to a drop in subcutaneous collagen tissue. This, combined with gravity, in turn pushes your skin downwards.
Face thread-lift procedures give your forehead, eyebrows, eyelids, cheeks, jaw line, or temples a tighter and smoother appearance.
Special spiny surgical threads are used with the help of a cannula. They are placed on sagged area and lift this area.

During your examination, Dr. Ozsular will first listen to your complaints and expectations. Your skin structure, age, and subcutaneous tissue are important to decide on the procedure and the technique to be used. Last, he’ll give you a preview of what your results may look like using photographs and simulation.
This procedure will be performed under local anesthesia. You won’t need to fast or do any other prep. We can even do it on the day you arrive (to Istanbul) depending on your/our availability.
First we’ll numb the area to be operated by injecting local anesthetics so that you won’t feel any pain during the procedure.
Thread lift products come in a myriad of forms; therefore procedures can vary among themselves. The main goal of a thread lift is to reposition your sagged tissues onto more robust area (with a cannula) so that it won’t sag again.
You’ll be fitted with small bandages after the surgery. You won’t need to stay overnight in the hospital; you can go home on the same day.
You’ll be able to immediately return to your normal routine after the surgery – no need for large dressings or bed rest. That said, you shouldn’t move your face much for the first three days (this covers mimics and chewing). You also should avoid doing intensive sports and protect your face from strikes at all costs.
Forehead, temples, crow’s feet, cheeks, chin area, jowl, and neck area.
We cannot tell you whether your results will be permanent or not. It depends on personal factors such as how you age, the nature of your tissue, and how your skin reacts to the thread.
In order to have a general idea, information about the average duration of permanence is given.
The above said, depending on the type of thread lift application, results tend to last for 1 and 2 years.
You shouldn’t have this procedure done if:
- You’re under 20 (unless you have serious deformations)
- You’re pregnant and/or breastfeeding
If your skin has lost elasticity, then this procedure tighten it and make it look more dynamic and tight. It will also give faster and more reliable results than surgical interventions. It is a very successful procedure for the chin, cheeks, and forehead.
Perhaps. This procedure is ideal for anyone whose skin sags slightly downward to make it look smoother and more taut. That said, you shouldn’t have any deep wrinkles or intense sagging.
Thread lift is a locally applied surgical procedure – meaning that it is an esthetic surgery and it requires no large incisions, dressings, or overnight stay in the hospital. However, your face is filled with nerves; and while it is a simple and reliable procedure, it needs to be done by a surgeon, who is specialized in the field only. If you have it done by someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing, you’d be put at risk of suffering from facial nerve damage, permanent damage, partial facial paralysis, or even vascular and muscle injury.
