Dermapen
Dermapen
Dermapen is a micro-needling system that aims to enhance your skin’s quality by instantaneously opening micro-channels in it.
This device with micro needles is applied at 900 angles on the surface of the skin. The micro-trauma it imposes along on the skin’s sub-dermal layers stimulates local stem cells, thus activating their healing and repairing mechanisms. Via these healing mechanisms, collagen and elastin production at the application site elevates, in turn improving your skin’s quality and making it more vivacious.
Moreover, subcutaneous absorption can handle penetration 15 and 20 times more than normal skin can via these channels. At this stage, every piece of matter fed into/applied onto the skin gets absorbed quickly and in large quantities. Dermapen helps penetrate the mesotherapy (e.g. salmon DNA, vitamins, minerals, lifting solutions, stain removers, prp, fat juice) into your skin’s subcutaneous layers as needed, allowing it to get absorbed 10 to 20 times more than normal treatment. In other words, this means that your treatment will reach its goals more.

During your examination, Dr. Ozsular will inspect your skin – including how tight it is, and its quality – in proportion to your age, and will listen to expectations or complaints you may have. Your treatment process will be planned according to what your skin needs.
The patient should wash their face, and shouldn’t be wearing any make-up.
Before the procedure, anesthetic creams will be applied to your face. Some of our patients say that the procedure is only slightly uncomfortable, and thus don’t request the anesthetic cream.
After your face has been sufficiently anesthetized, we will wash the cream off (leaving no reside of it behind) because your face will be 10 to 20 times more absorbent at that point.
All of our devices used are FDA-approved, reliable, and of well-known brands. The needles we use are disposable and personal only. A new needle cap will be removed a sterile box and inserted into the device so that the application can begin.
We will adjust the length of each Dermapen needle upon examining the thickness of your skin at various areas. Next, the therapeutic solutions will be applied, and your face will be left to rest until the micro-channels re-close. During this second period (roughly half an hour), bare hands or anything that is not sterile should not touch the face.
For the first few hours after treatment, water, foreign substances, and make-up should not be applied to your face. You should avoid both sun and fluorescent light(s). If you for any reason have to go outside, you should wear sunscreen. At night, you should try to sit under soft light. When you go to bed, make sure that your pillowcases are clean first.
You can wash your face with water six hours after treatment as well as use moisturizer. During the first few days, you need to keep your skin moist due to the destructive effects of the procedure – so, moisturize your skin frequently.
Don’t forget to use high-factor sunscreen (renewing it throughout the day) for the first few days. If you expose your skin to sun without sunscreen, you may develop spots because your skin is still sensitive.
As your skin restores itself, you will gradually begin to notice it shine again and improve quality-wise.
Dermapen:
- Tightens your pores.
- Reduces your acne scars.
- Treats your damaged skin.
- Treats your scars.
- Enhances the quality of your skin.
- Stimulates your subcutaneous stem cells.
- Allows your skin to penetrate and absorb more mesotherapy and vitamins.
Dermapen is practical, not to mention easy to prepare for pre-procedure, and easy to care of post-procedure.
You should have the Dermapen done in the fall, winter, or spring when there is less solar glare outside.
In fact, it would be wise if you had it done after you’ve finished work (towards the evening) – there will be less sunshine then, and you won’t need to wear sunscreen within the first few hours. That way it will be more effective.
Dermapen is not a magic wand and doesn’t create miraculous results in a single session. If you want better results, you should go for as many sessions and Dr. Ozsular deems appropriate for you.
Dermapen will not smooth out your existing deep wrinkles like an iron does. If that is what you want, then it is better that you research other treatment options. Rather, Dermapen delays fine lines from forming as it boosts your skin’s quality.
Dermapen will not transfer new stem cells to the relevant area – in other words, it won’t boost how many you have. Instead, it stimulates your existing stem cells.
Unfortunately, some procedures seeming simple and also financial anxieties encourage people to have such procedures done.
For example, people don’t go to butchers or tailors to get their hair cut. However, some are likely to take risks when it comes to their health.
You should undergo interventional procedures only at centers that have been authorized by the Turkish Ministry of Health – as they should use FDA-approved products.
Otherwise, dermapen needles that are thick as a strand of hair can cause scars and even infection – which, in turn, you’ll have to undergo larger treatments in order to fix (this, when the original purpose of the treatment was to make you more beautiful!).
You should only have sessions at prescribed intervals; excessive applications may scar your skin.
Session intervals should not be less than 21 days, as scars generally take 21 days to heal. Scars can occur when sessions are scheduled without taking this 21-day rule into consideration.
Yes, you can have Dermapen even if you don’t suffer any skin problems. It is not just intended for medical purposes only. You can also have it done to enhance your skin and make it moister. Regular applications at longer intervals will make your skin shinier by enhancing its quality via continuous internal stimulation.
Dr. Ozsular will decide for you how many sessions you need depending on the purpose of your treatment. This can change for acne treatment and skin enhancement.
We apply a maximum of 4 to 5 consecutive sessions. You will then be given a 6- month break, and then you can plan another set of sessions.
