Appointment With Dr. Yavuz Ozsular
We examine all of our patients on the date and time specified. During the examination, we consider the following criteria for your surgery plan: your expectations and complaints (if any), your history of previous surgery, your comorbidities, what drugs/medications you use on a regular basis, your age, the condition of your overall health, and your physical qualities.
Your photos will be taken for your medical records and planning purposes.
You will receive a preview about what you will look like after surgery via photos and simulations (via Photoshop).
After your examination, we will inform you about treatment costs.
After the details about your surgery have been settled on, we will book where and when the surgery will take place. Dr. Ozsular will request a set of routine examinations and analyses prior the surgery. If the results thereof are deemed sufficient, then the date of the surgery will be finalized. (Should any problem occur during your examinations, the operation can be planned after you are treated by the doctor of the relevant branch and regain your health. Your surgery can not be conducted otherwise.)
We communicate with our all of patients who reside outside Istanbul or outside of Turkey via video call (interpreters are provided for our international patients) or photo and video in a time that is available for both sides. Thus, while they are still in their own country, we explain any expectations or complaints they have regarding the surgery. They also obtain information about the treatment process – including how much it will cost – beforehand.
Once patients decide on going through with surgery, they then will need contact us again so that the date of surgery alongside the operation process can be planned. After the decision regarding the date of surgery is finalized, the patient must pay a part of the fee in advance for preparation and hospital reservation.

If – at your doctor’s request – you have your routine analyses in your own country or city and send them to us via Whatsapp or e-mail and the results come out negative, you may encounter an unexpected situation.
Transfer For International Patients
You need to share your accommodation and flight information with us. When your airplane lands, one of greeters (who also happens to speak your language) will be waiting for you at the airport, with a name panel in hand. A reliable/safe shuttle company (that have been certified and authorized by the Turkish Ministry of Health) will transfer you. (Should you flight information change for any reason, don’t forget inform us ASAP to prevent any possible mishaps.)
You will be transferred from the airport directly to your hotel or the hospital.
At the end of all your treatment processes, your airport transfer will be provided.
Operation Process
For patients coming from outside Istanbul or outside Turkey, and for those who already live in Istanbul;
You will need to arrive at hospital as stated by your doctor at the specified time according to your operation and the type of anesthesia you will receive before the operation. (For patients coming from outside Istanbul and Turkey, you can request transfer service to the hospital.) In addition, anesthesia examinations are conducted before the operation.
You will be taken to a pre-booked room so that you can rest. There, nurses will conduct a series of final checks on you as you rest. Dr. Ozsular and his assistant (in the company of an interpreter for international patients) will visit you before surgery. You will be taken to the operating room when it is time for surgery, and put under planned anesthesia process before the procedure starts.
After your operation is successfully completed, your wounds will be dressed and you’ll be fitted with a corset. We will then leave you to slowly come to.
During your first hours after surgery, we want you wake up in comfort and in as little pain as possible. Thus, we will do local anesthesia on the part of your body you had surgery without awaken you – so that when you do wake up, you won’t be in any pain.
When you have been transferred to your room, you will spend those initial hours recovering from the feeling of dizziness caused by anesthesia. Afterwards, you will be given a bowl of soup to eat.
Dr. Ozsular and his assistant (in company with an interpreter, for international patients) will visit you in your room after the surgery. They will inform you about how the surgery went. Information such as your length of hospitalization, things you need to take into account, and next dressing day will be explained to you both in writing (in the patient’s mother tongue) and verbally.
During the whole process, if you’ve got any questions or are faced with a situation that has gone wrong, you can consult Dr. Ozsular through his assistant.
After you get discharged from the hospital, you can either return back to your hotel or home. During this period, you should take Dr. Ozsular’s recommendations seriously as well as begin your medications prescribed to you.
Dressing and the first day of control vary from surgery to surgery. Right from day one, you already begin to notice your changes. Your dressings will be replaced with new ones.
Most of our patients can go back to work after their first check up, and even leave the city or country (this, of course, can vary from procedure to procedure). Our international patients can return home should as soon as they get a clean bill of health. They can also contact Dr. Ozsular’s assistant should they have any questions. Their checkups will take place on the specified dates either online or via photos/video. Should they wish, they even can plan themselves a mini vacation under the pretense of control purpose.
Some of our international patients cannot get enough of Istanbul, and will extend their holiday and stay until their second control.
Patients who already live in Istanbul can visit our clinic for their controls by booking an appointment according to their prescribed time-frame.
